How to Replace the ECU on the Mercedes SLK?

Model: Mercedes Slk R170, MK 1 - Years 1997-2004
Part: Control unit

To replace the ECU on the Mercedes SLK, open the bonnet to access the engine bay. The ECU is protected by a plastic cover and is located directly beneath the battery. To remove it, you will need to take off the protective plastic cover, disconnect all related cables and connectors, and extract the ECU from its housing. Once the old ECU is removed, the new one can be inserted into its housing and connected to its connectors. After installation, reinsert the protective cover.
