Mercedes Classe C - Video tutorial

Model: Mercedes Classe C W204 - Years 2007-2013
Part: Air filter
Operation: How to change the engine air filter

To replace the air filter, lift the hood and remove the plastic cover that covers the engine as shown in the video. Now proceed by disconnecting the three tubes: two large ones on the left and right plus a small one in the center. Now unhook the clip on the back of the filter holder. Remove the entire filter holder paying attention to any other clips. Once the filter holder has been removed, turn it over and start unscrewing the screws on the right and left side (the video shows the filter change only on one side). Take out the filters from both sides and clean everything before reinstalling the new filters. Reposition the filters by closing and screwing the two filter holder shells. Reinstall the complete filter holder on the motor by re-engaging the clips including the main one on the back. Reconnect the three hoses and put the other part of the guard back on the engine. Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
