Replacing the button battery inside your Mercedes A-Class key is one of the simplest tasks you can perform on your own. Follow these steps to do it. First, locate the small metal button on the back of the cover. Press it and slide out the physical emergency key. Now, using the same key, fully open the cover, and right underneath, you will have access to the dead battery. Replace it with a new one, and finally, reassemble the cover, making sure to reinsert the emergency key.
