Replacing the Battery in a Mercedes A-Class Key

Model: Mercedes Classe A W169 - Years 2004-2012

In this video, you will see how to replace the battery in a Mercedes A-Class key (this applies to many other models from the same manufacturer as well). The first step is to extract the key blade by pressing it upward. With the key blade in hand, force the cover open; it should pop open immediately. Remove the old battery and replace it. The battery used is a CR 2025, 3V. Now, work in reverse: reattach the plastic cover, then reposition the key blade back in place. Your Mercedes key is now ready and will function correctly.
