How to Reset the ABS Light on a Mercedes A-Class

With the ignition on, if the ABS light does not turn off, check the switch that controls it, located under the steering wheel and connected to the car's control unit. Disconnect the electrical connector from the switch and remove the switch from its housing, performing a mechanical test on it. This involves pressing it to ensure you hear a click when pressing and releasing. Further checks can be done by detaching the button from the mechanism it operates and observing that the leaf and spring underneath are in sync, opening and closing the contact when activated. If it malfunctions, simply replace this component, and the problem is resolved.
