Mercedes Classe M - Video tutorial

Model: Mercedes Classe M W163 - Years 1997-2005
Part: Bearing
Operation: Disassembly / replacement of the hub holder

To disassemble the hub holder we must first of all loosen the wheel nuts and then lift the car, always observing the safety rules, to remove the wheel definitively. At this point with a tool we lever the brake caliper to move the pads away from the disc. It is good practice to first spray the specific unlocking product on the components to facilitate disassembly given the presence of dust and encrustations. In the meantime, let's proceed by unscrewing the two screws on the inside to disassemble the brake caliper that we are going to tie in order to leave space to work. We unscrew the Allen screw on the disc and also remove the brake disc. Now we unscrew the central nut on the hub and on the back of the same we also unscrew the sensor, with its support, of the ABS. At this point we unscrew the upper nut and that of the steering arm. We extract the drive shaft, unscrew the nut of the lower support and we will be able to disassemble the hub holder. Car model: Mercedes Benz W163 M320 Year: 2000 Tools required: large flat screwdriver, socket wrenches of various sizes (21 / 36mm), 5mm Allen key
