How to remove the cigarette lighter socket in the Mercedes E-Class?

In this tutorial, you will see how to remove the cigarette lighter socket in the Mercedes E-Class W210, a very simple and quick operation. First, loosen the lower ring of the gear shift knob, then remove the knob from the shaft and detach the base from the console. Next, unscrew the two screws indicated with a standard Phillips screwdriver, separate the entire block, and disconnect the connector of the cigarette lighter socket. To remove the socket, simply push it outward, and follow the reverse procedure to reassemble everything.
