The 2004 Mercedes E-Class places the fuse for the cigarette lighter socket inside the fuse box located in the front hood, specifically the fuse box is located on the right side of the battery. To access the fuse box, it is necessary to release the cover by lifting the clips. The fuses related to the socket are two, the first one is numbered with the no. 15 of 7.5 Ampere while the second one is numbered with the no. 40 of 7.5 Ampere. To replace even just one of the two fuses, it is necessary to remove it with a needle-nose pliers and then insert a fuse with the same amperage.
