Installation of Tow Bar

Model: Mercedes Classe M W163 - Years 1997-2005

To install the tow bar, first remove the rear bumper: disconnect the two caps at the ends of the bumper and the one in the centre, under which the fixing pins of the bumper are located. Then unscrew the four pins (two in the centre and the others at the ends), detach the bumper at the wheel arches, and remove it from its position. In the centre of the impact absorption cross member, the fixing holes for the tow bar are already prepared, which must be secured with four pins, using the appropriate reinforcement plate.
