Monitoring the oil temperature of the automatic transmission can be especially useful if the vehicle is to be used under particularly loaded conditions, such as towing a trailer or caravan. The installation of the thermometer is very simple to carry out§: start by disassembling the lining of the central tunnel to which the thermometer display is fixed; pass the cable harness through the special cable grommet under the airbag control unit to reach the gearbox to which the temperature sensor is screwed; then carry out the electrical connection as shown in the diagram.
