Replacement of Rear Brake Discs and Pads

Model: Mercedes Viano MK 1, W639 - Years 2003-2013

Lift the vehicle on a hydraulic lift and remove the rear wheel. Unscrew the retaining bolts of the brake caliper from its bracket, remove the caliper, and slide out the old pads. Next, detach the bracket and the retaining bolt of the disc from the hub. Tap the disc with a hammer to remove it, and before installing the new one, clean the hub seat of any rust debris and apply grease to prevent future rust formation. Then, fit the new disc by securing it with a new bolt to the hub, install the caliper bracket, insert the new sliding plates and new pads, retract the caliper piston using the appropriate tool to rotate the piston, and mount the caliper onto the bracket.
