Removing the Convertible Top Hydraulic Piston

To remove the hydraulic piston that controls the convertible top opening and closing system, first obtain the appropriate wrench to detach the top and open it manually. Once done, access the trunk and remove the carpet covering the convertible top control. Then, disconnect the springs, remove the retaining clips for the oil lines attached to the piston, unclip the pins securing it at the bottom and top, and complete the removal by extracting it from its housing.
