As shown in this tutorial, removing the instrument cluster in a Mercedes M-Class is an extremely simple and quick operation. First, ensure that the key is not inserted, then unclip the side panel of the dashboard and remove the air vent.

Next, unclip the trim, locate the indicated screws, and remove them using a Torx screwdriver. At this point, grasp the instrument cluster, pull it out of its housing, and disconnect the internal connector.

To install the replacement, simply follow the reverse procedure.
