Replacing the Central Locking Control Module

Model: Mercedes Classe E W211 - Years 2002-2009

To replace the central locking control module, first remove the door panel: start by removing the plastic insert covering the lock, then the one at the front of the panel near the location of the outside rearview mirror, unscrewing the screws underneath; perform the same operation under the armrest support and also remove the tweeter grille, then release the clips along the edges of the panel by unscrewing the fastener to complete the disassembly. Disconnect the lock cable and various connectors; once the panel is removed, you can access the control module by disconnecting all the connectors and releasing the retaining tabs.
