Removing the Front Door Panel.

Model: Mercedes Sl MK 5, R129 - Years 1989-2001

Open the door and place a support under it to hold it during the work. Remove the wooden trim that is wedged under the door opening mechanism. Remove the remaining wooden trim where the electrical switches are located. Disconnect the electrical wires from it. Remove the bolt under the opening mechanism and the screw at the top left inside the lower compartment. Use the appropriate tool to remove the screw that secures the lock. Carefully pry out the small light fixture at the bottom right. Disconnect the wires. Remove the screw at the top right inside the lower compartment on the panel. Using a small plastic pry tool, leverage the panel to unclip it from the door. Start from the bottom, then move to the sides, and finally lift it upwards to detach it. Finally, disconnect the electrical wires that power the speakers, located near the speakers. The car on which this operation is performed is a Mercedes SL.
