To replace the gas springs on a Mercedes-Benz C-Class, open the rear trunk to access the gas springs located between the trunk and the body. Release the springs from their housing by disconnecting the retaining clips at their ends, allowing the springs to be freed from their mounts.

Once the old springs are removed, install the new ones by securing them with the corresponding clips and ensure everything functions correctly.
