How to Replace the Engine Air Filter

Model: Mercedes Gl MK 1, X164 - Years 2006-2012

Open the bonnet of the engine compartment and remove the two air ducts from their positions. Locate the engine air filter and, using the appropriate tools, unscrew the bolts securing the plastic cover over the engine block. Remove the engine cover to reveal the two engine filters in their housing. Remove the old filters and replace them with new ones. Refit the plastic cover over the engine and filters, reversing the previous steps. The car shown in the maintenance operation is a Mercedes GL.
