The steering wheel is one of the most important and solid parts of the car, so it is rarely replaced. However, if this happens, it is advisable to do it yourself to save a significant amount of money.

The following guide shows how to do it. There are many options available for changing the steering wheel. First, check the compatibility of the new steering wheel.

To do this, you need to have the vehicle registration document. First, disconnect the power supply from your car by removing the battery.

This will help avoid the risk of electric shock. Then, turn the steering wheel about a quarter turn to the right; you will find a large screw at the back of the steering wheel: this is the screw that holds the steering wheel to the steering column.

Once unscrewed, you can pull the steering wheel towards you.
