Model: Mercedes Classe B W245, MK 1 - Years 2005-2011

This video provides important information about purchasing a used Mercedes-Benz B-Class W245. It is a vehicle with some design flaws, the worst being the driveshaft, which is prone to breaking and is expensive to replace. Another issue is the CDT automatic gearbox, which is pleasant to use, but at some point, the control unit fails, leading to significant problems; if the control unit does not fail, the sensor measuring engine RPM fails - which is not available as a spare part - resulting in the control unit needing replacement. Cost: £1,200. The gearbox gaiters also tend to break easily. Keep an eye on the compressor pulley; however, the vehicle is a spacious family car with a large boot and a truly reliable Mercedes engine.
