How to Replace the Timing Belt on a Mercedes C-Class

To replace the timing belt on a Mercedes C-Class, open the hood to access the components in the engine compartment. At the front of the engine block, locate the cover panel for the pulleys and the belt underneath. Remove this panel, then take off the central nut of the tensioner pulley. After removal, reduce the tension on the belt, replace it with a new one, and reinstall all previously removed components.
