How to Replace the Window Switch Panel on a Mercedes R-Class

Model: Mercedes Classe R W251, MK 1 - Years 2005-2013

Open the relevant door and proceed to remove the door panel. Start by removing the speaker at the corner of the window by simply prying it out with a lever. Now, using a flathead screwdriver, lift the clips that secure the panel. Next, with the same screwdriver, lift the central locking buttons and remove the bolt at the back. This way, you can easily extract the panel and disconnect all the connectors at the back. Now, all you need to do is make the necessary replacements and retrace your steps to reassemble the various components.
