Use the following mini guide to manually change the time displayed on the instrument cluster of your first-generation Mercedes SLK (1997-2004). First, take your seat in the driver's position inside the cabin and turn on the instrument cluster. Next, locate the button to the right of the speedometer and pull it towards you. Now, rotate the same button anti-clockwise to adjust the hour and clockwise to adjust the minutes.

The procedure is now successfully completed, and you can turn off the instrument cluster.
