Replacing the Diesel Filter on the Mercedes GLA MK1

To replace the diesel filter on the Mercedes GLA, open the bonnet of the engine compartment, remove the plastic engine cover, and locate the filter on the passenger side near the shock absorber mount. Start by loosening the bracket bolt with an E11 spanner, then loosen the clips and disconnect the fuel hoses.

Remove the bracket and disconnect the electrical connector. Take out the old filter and replace it with a new one, reconnect the connector, secure the clips, place the hoses in the rubber holders, and tighten the clips.

Install the bracket and tighten it, then replace the cover. Press the start button without starting the car several times to allow the filter to fill with diesel from the pump.
