How to change the spark plugs of a Mercedes A-Class W168 version? We see it in this video. We open the hood and unscrew the metal bracket that secures the ignition coils to the engine, then remove the plastic protection from the ignition coils. Using a socket wrench and a 12 female Torx, we unscrew the two screws holding the ignition coil group, which will allow us to carefully remove the coils. Remember that this is a rather fragile component, so they must be handled with care; if possible, do not disconnect them. Then, using a 16 socket wrench, we unlock the spark plug and finish unscrewing it by hand. We proceed with the insertion of the new spark plug, which we will screw in by hand, and then tighten it with a torque wrench to the tightening torque indicated by the manufacturer; we put back the coil block, then tighten the two screws holding the coil group, reassemble the plastic protection and the metal bracket, and screw back the two screws. Operation completed.
