In this brief guide, you will see the main steps to remove and replace the spark plugs of the first generation Mercedes A-Class, the W168. First, open the hood and start by disconnecting the electrical connectors from the spark plugs, located at the bottom of the engine (under the air filter box); then use a socket wrench with an extension to unscrew and remove the spark plugs. At this point, replace the old spark plugs with new ones of the correct type and with the same heat rating; hand-tighten them before securing with the wrench!
