Replacing the spark plugs on a Mercedes A-Class? Let's see how to remove and replace them. Lift the hood, secure it, and disconnect the battery terminals. Remove the soundproofing engine cover and the engine air filter. Disconnect the coils on the engine head; then, use a socket wrench to unscrew the spark plugs and pull them out of the head. Take the new spark plugs and guide them into the engine head with the socket extension, tighten them, and reconnect the power coils to each spark plug. Use the same procedure to remove the engine head.
