How to disconnect the airbag of the Mercedes E-Class

Today we will explain how to remove the driver's side airbag of the Mercedes E-Class. To perform the removal, we need to get inside the vehicle and turn the steering wheel 180 degrees to insert a screwdriver into the side holes in order to open the central body of the steering wheel and disconnect the airbag connector. Then we remove the body and also the steering wheel if necessary by unscrewing the central nut with a Torx key. Before disconnecting the airbag, it is advisable to disconnect the battery to prevent the system from activating during removal and causing damage to people and things.
