How do you replace the auxiliary belt on a Mercedes-Benz B-Class W245? You will need a 15mm combination spanner, then lift the vehicle and support it on axle stands for safety. From underneath, you can clearly see the auxiliary belt; remove the tensioner pulley and take off the belt.

Take this opportunity to check the condition of the tensioner pulley and the idler pulley, as this is the ideal time to replace them. Refit the new auxiliary belt, keeping it in its original position, which can be seen in an explanatory diagram within the video, and ensure it is properly tensioned on all pulleys.

Now run the engine for a few minutes, then you can lower the car.
