How to Replace the Timing Belt on a Mercedes-Benz B-Class

To replace the timing belt on a Mercedes-Benz B-Class, open the bonnet and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. Raise the vehicle and remove the necessary covers to access the timing side. Remove the auxiliary belt and the components that obstruct access to the timing cover. Remove the cover and rotate the engine to align the timing marks as specified by the manufacturer. Loosen the tensioner and slide off the old belt. Install the new belt following the correct routing around the pulleys and adjust the tension using the tensioner. Manually rotate the engine a few times and check the alignment of the marks again. Refit the cover, the auxiliary belt, and all previously removed components, then start the engine and check for proper operation.
