To replace the battery in the MG Hector remote, first remove the emergency key from the top of the remote. This will allow you to pry open the back cover of the remote.

Once the cover is removed, unscrew the two additional screws that secure the underlying cover, so you can take out the battery from its compartment. Then, insert the new battery into its housing and close the remote again.
