How to Replace the Key Fob Battery on an MG Hector

To replace the battery in the key fob of an MG Hector, press the side button to extract the metal key contained inside. Once removed, use the same key or a small flathead screwdriver to pry open the slot on the fob and separate the two halves. Open the shell and locate the button cell battery inside. Remove it from its holder and insert a new battery of the same type, respecting the indicated polarity. Close the fob by pressing the two halves together until fully secured and reinsert the metal key into its slot.
