How to change the battery of the Mini R50

Model: Mini Mini R52, R50, R53 - Years 2001-2007
Part: Battery

Let's see how to change the battery of the Mini R50: we start by opening the hood, the battery is located on the right side of the engine, and we will need to remove the plastic cover first; then we will remove the safety bar that goes through it. We will use a 10 socket wrench. We will start by disconnecting the negative pole, the black one, which we will then keep away from the battery, so that we are sure it does not accidentally reconnect to the battery; we also disconnect the positive red terminal and then we can remove the battery. Clean the inside of the terminals with fine sandpaper to remove the white oxide from inside the terminals themselves, then sprinkle the battery terminals with copper grease to improve contact with the cables. Reconnect the positive pole, then the negative one and finally put back in place the bracket and the cover. Job done.

Replace Timing Belt on Citroen C5

How to replace the timing belt on a Citroen C5? Lift the car on a column lift or jack (if necessary, remove the front wheel using a screwdriver to detach the right wheel arch liner). Once these steps are completed, lift the bonnet, remove the engine soundproofing panel and the belt cover (plastic or metal). Use a suitable spanner to loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off its seat. Use a socket to unscrew the tensioner pulley securing bolt, then remove the water pump as shown in the video. Fit the new water pump (previously removed), the tensioner, and the belt itself, tightening everything with the socket. Finally, refit the belt pulley cover.
