A clogged manifold problem due to the EGR valve on the 3-cylinder BMW engine of a Mini.

Model: Mini Mini F55, F54, F57, F56 - Years 2014-2023
Part: EGR valve

In this video we see the disassembly of the manifold and EGR valve located on the three-cylinder engine, in this case of a Mini. The manifold is completely clogged. In this case, the engine light came on, surely the absolute pressure sensor has no problems and neither does the flow meter. The problem is the manifold full of carbon residues coming from the EGR valve, which do not allow air to pass through; when decelerating, the throttle should close, but being so dirty they cannot do it, with the consequence that the control motor burns out. We see the MAP sensor full of dirt, so it cannot read. The consequence is the engine light on, the car not pulling despite very high fuel consumption. So it is useless to just change the MAP sensor, we must go and see the problem at the source, otherwise we will not have solved anything.

If desired, you can also remove the mudguard by unscrewing the relevant screws. Apply the reverse procedure for reassembly!
