How to Replace the Battery in a Mini Cooper Key

Today, we will show you how to disassemble and reassemble the Mini Cooper key to replace the remote battery. Insert the screwdriver into the key fob to remove the emergency metal key stored inside. Remove the cover of the key fob to replace the battery. Insert a CR 2032 battery and clean the microchip housing before reassembling the key fob. Close the two parts of the key fob and insert the emergency metal key back inside. Test the key fob's operation by pressing the vehicle's lock and unlock buttons.
