How to Open the Bonnet of a Mini Cooper

Open the front bonnet of the Mini for maintenance. Here’s how to do it. Pull the lever located at the bottom right of the dashboard, then slightly lift the engine bonnet and pull the release lever to the left. Lift the front bonnet upwards and secure it with the stay rod. Now that the engine bonnet is open, you can carry out your maintenance. To close the bonnet: remove the safety stay and let the bonnet fall down from a minimal height. Ensure the bonnet is properly closed by attempting to lift it.
