Detach the Handbrake Grip

Model: Mini Mini R52, R50, R53 - Years 2001-2007
Part: Parking brake

Sweat, dirty hands, and some cleaning products can damage the grip of the steering wheel or, as in this case, the handbrake: thus, it is necessary to replace it. To remove the handbrake grip, first detach the leather cover by pulling it back; at this point, firmly grasp the handbrake grip and pull it forward to detach it. You can now either have the leather part of the grip reupholstered by a skilled upholsterer or replace the entire grip with a new one.
