To replace the reversing light switch on a Mini Cooper S, lift the bonnet to access the engine bay. The reversing light switch is located beneath the air filter, which will need to be removed. To do this, loosen the two bolts located near the left front headlamp that secure the filter. Once removed, you will have access to the switch, from which you must disconnect the connector. After disconnecting, extract the switch using a socket spanner and replace it with a new part.
