If you are about to purchase a used Mini and want to check the engine's condition or verify if it has been in accidents and thus had repairs in the front, pay attention to the following aspects: before opening the front bonnet, assess its alignment with the front wings and headlights, ensuring everything is perfectly symmetrical.

Once the front bonnet is open, check the condition of the chassis rails and joints to rule out any signs of reworking, welding, or repainting; check for any unusual connections or repairs to the electrical connections.

Then move on to the engine, checking the levels of various fluids, looking for any oil or water leaks, and do not neglect the sound once started.
