As shown in the video, to reset the instrument cluster on a 2012 Mini Cooper R60 Countryman, first insert the key into its slot: the cluster will light up showing the indicators. Click the button next to the key once, then hold down the button on the right side of the dashboard until a steering wheel appears on the small display.

You have opened the menu, which you can navigate by touching the end of the left stalk. If you want to reset the engine oil, position yourself on the engine oil indicator and this time hold down the same button until 'RESET OK' appears on the display.
