How to Open the Fuel Flap on a Mini Cooper

Model: Mini Mini R56, R55, R57 - Years 2007-2014

To open the flap that protects the fuel cap, proceed as follows: access the cabin and sit in the driver's seat. Turn on the ignition, and while the ignition is on, locate the release button for the fuel flap, which is found on the lower part of the central console and is marked with a padlock symbol. Unlock the flap by pulling the lever upwards. Then, turn off the ignition, exit the vehicle, and manually open the flap located on the left side of the bodywork. After that, unscrew the fuel cap to refuel.
