Model: Mini Mini R57, R55, R56 - Years 2007-2014
Part: Starter motor

In this tutorial we can see how to replace the starter in your Mini Cooper, a very simple and fast operation. Before proceeding, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery, in order to operate in complete safety. Let's start by lifting the front side of the vehicle, then go underneath the engine compartment on the left side, locate the motor and disconnect both power cables. We then unscrew the two lower bolts with an E12 Torx key, move to the upper side and remove the last bolt, accessible by first disassembling the filter box.
