Mini - Video tutorial
Model: Mini Mini
R52, R50, R53
- Years 2001-2007 To replace the front brake pads of the Mini Cooper, we start by opening the engine hood and unscrewing the cap of the brake fluid reservoir, keeping the cap resting on the reservoir. We place a wedge in front of the left front wheel, remove the cover plate that covers the bolts and loosen them. We raise the car (either with a lift or just the front) and continue unscrewing the wheel bolts. Once the wheel is removed, using a flathead screwdriver, we move the brake pads so that the piston can retract and the pads can move. Now we remove the two caps that hold the caliper bolts, unscrew the bolts that hold the caliper, remove the clip, move the caliper and remove the pads. After removing the pads, we spray brake lubricant on the piston and use a special tool to push it in so that it is parallel with the caliper. Now we pass the metal brush on the pad seat, spray brake lubricant and apply anti-squeal paste. Now we take the new pads, insert the pad with the hooks into the caliper piston and the other on the outer part of the disc with the friction material on the disc, position the caliper with the pad on the disc and screw in the rear bolts, along with their caps, also inserting the front clip. We spray brake lubricant on the brake disc while rotating it, dry it, spray some copper grease on the central part of the disc, reassemble the wheel, screw in the wheel bolts, lower the car, place a wedge behind the wheel, tighten the bolts and reattach the wheel cover plate. Finally, we screw the cap of the brake fluid reservoir and close the engine hood.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHow to reset the tire pressure warning light on Dacia Sandero?Let's see below how it is possible to reset the low tire pressure signal on the car: first of all it is necessary to check the correct tire pressure by comparing it with the pressures reported in the use and maintenance manual. After that, turn on the ignition and locate the command on the right side of the steering wheel at the top that allows you to access the on-board computer menu, then select the car symbol, after which select the "up arrow" command up to that the indication "tire pressure" appears on the display. At that point, press the "Ok" control on the steering wheel and keep it pressed to reset the signal. by ScegliAuto More videos
