Removing and Installing Door Panel

Model: Mini Mini R56, R57, R55 - Years 2007-2014
Part: Door trim panel

To remove the door panel, start by taking out the clip at the bottom of the round cover in the centre of the panel. Then, remove the cover by prying around it. Next, remove the courtesy light under the panel by extracting the bulb holder and disconnecting the electrical wires. At this point, you need to unclip the clips around the perimeter of the panel. Now remove the mirror control button and the speaker cover. Then, remove the trim from the top of the door and the two plugs at the bottom of the panel. Raise the window a few centimetres. Unscrew the screws hidden in the holes where you just removed the plugs, making sure to hold the window, which you will then remove by sliding it out from the top. Disconnect the electrical connectors by pressing or turning the retaining tabs. Unclip the armrest in the centre of the panel. Unscrew the screws around the panel, also removing the rubber covers at the top of the door. Remove the screws from the aluminium bar at the top of the panel and extract the panel, disconnecting the door opening cable from the handle last. To reassemble the panel, perform the same operations in reverse, inserting the panel and reconnecting the door opening cable. Align everything and insert the screws first at the top of the door and then around the panel. Insert the window, the outer trim, and then reassemble the speaker cover with the mirror button. Reassemble the outer part of the panel along with the courtesy light and the round trim. Car model: Mini Cooper S Year: 2007 Tools required: flathead screwdriver, Torx keys 25 and 30 with extension, trim removal tool.
