How to Remove the Rear Brake Disc on a Mini

Model: Mini Mini R56, R57, R55 - Years 2007-2014
Part: Brake rotors

In this detailed video, you will learn how to remove a rear brake disc from a Mini. Start by taking a screwdriver to remove the hubcap from your Mini. Using a socket wrench, remove all the 17mm wheel bolts, then lift the car on a column lift and take off the wheel. First, disconnect the brake sensor using pliers, then unscrew the caliper bolts and pull it away with the help of a screwdriver. For convenience, tie the caliper to a cable to prevent it from hanging. Remove the brake pads and take off the disc using a ratchet with a 16mm socket, unscrewing the front Torx bolts with a hammer. Always remember to clean the caliper support and all associated parts with a brush before reassembly, lubricating where necessary. Prepare to fit the new brake disc, tightening the bolts, then reattach the caliper support with the associated parts and pads. If necessary, replace the brake sensor with a new one. Finish tightening all the disc bolts, reattach the wheel, and tighten them using a socket wrench with a torque setting. Check the brake pedal for proper pressure.

How to Replace the Spark Plugs on a Kia Cee'd

First, release the bonnet using the appropriate lever to lift it and secure it with the prop rod. Then, remove the upper rear cover of the engine, where the tops of the spark plugs are located. Once the cover is removed, disconnect the connectors from the coils that feed the spark plugs at the bottom of the cylinder where the coils are housed. Using a socket spanner, unscrew the spark plugs and pull them out. If your socket is magnetised, it will help; otherwise, you will need to use long-nosed pliers, and you're done!
