How to remove the original radio from a Mitsubishi Outlander? Here’s how to proceed: Use a plastic trim tool to remove the side cover of the radio (where the air vents are) and the top cover as shown in the video. Then, using a screwdriver, unscrew the securing screws located on either side of the radio. After unscrewing the side screws, pull the front part of the radio out of its slot and unscrew the rear piece of the radio to remove it (disconnect the various power connectors located at the back). To install the new stereo and the various removed pieces, proceed in reverse order.
