How do you reset the Service light on the Mitsubishi Outlander?

The service light that is shown on the instrument panel of the Mitsubishi Outlander can be reset by turning on the instrument panel, inserting the appropriate key into the ignition switch. Once the instrument panel is turned on, you can hold down the button with the two rectangles located to the right of the steering wheel: holding down this button will cause the service light to start flashing, until the maintenance interval is reset. At the end of the procedure, you can release the button and turn off the instrument panel by removing the key.
