How to Clean the Throttle Body on a Mitsubishi

Model: Mitsubishi L 200 MK 2 - Years 2005-2015

Learn how to clean the throttle body on a Mitsubishi Pajero or L200: it is located on the right side of the engine, at the end of the intake pipe; disconnect the electrical connector from the throttle body control unit, loosen the air hose clamp, and remove the four flange bolts. Use a carburettor cleaner, spraying it generously inside the body and on the butterfly, and use a microfiber cloth to remove dirt. Do not spray directly on the electrical connector or integrated sensors, and do not attempt to manually move the butterfly with your fingers, as this could irreparably damage it. Refit the cleaned valve, ensuring the gasket is in place, tighten the bolts, reconnect the air hose, and then run the engine at idle for a few minutes.
