Mitsubishi offers its electric city car: the i-MiEV. When driving, like all electric cars, it is silent and free of vibrations. The battery has a capacity of approximately 14 kWh, providing a range of between 50 and 87 miles, and can be charged from any power socket with a minimum output of 3 kW. It is only 11.5 feet long, but the interior is quite spacious. It has four doors (plus the boot) and seats four passengers. The model is the same as the Peugeot iOn and Citroën C-Zero. This car demonstrates that for annual distances of about 1,800 to 3,700 miles (which corresponds to a cost of approximately £130 to £175), the electric vehicle is the best choice, especially since having a garage with a power socket means you can start each morning with a full charge. Additionally, costs such as road tax and insurance for this car are minimal. Insurance, for example, can cost around £100 per year, and road tax is reduced by 75%.
