How to Replace the Steering Wheel on a Mitsubishi Montero

This video shows how to replace the steering wheel on your Mitsubishi Montero. This procedure is useful if the steering wheel is no longer in good condition due to wear over time or in case of failure. You will only need a three-quarter Torx key to remove it. First, remove the cover by applying pressure to detach it. After removing it, disconnect the airbag wiring, especially to avoid it inadvertently deploying during the steering wheel replacement. After disconnecting the airbag, disconnect the horn wiring, and finally disconnect the cruise control wiring. At this point, unscrew the steering wheel fastening bolt with the Torx key. To help turn the key, you can use the wheel removal tool as some pressure will be needed. Now, give the steering wheel a few taps to remove and replace it.
