Resetting the Service Light on the Mitsubishi Outlander

After changing the engine oil on the Mitsubishi Outlander, you need to reset the system that alerts you to the need for maintenance. Sit in the driver's seat and turn on the ignition; using the menu button located on the dashboard, to the left of the steering column, scroll on the display in the centre of the instrument panel until the wrench icon appears, press and hold the menu button for a few seconds until the icon starts to flash, release and press again. The central display will show the updated maintenance interval data.
